What types of hair extensions do you offer?
We have options…lots of options! I have certifications in many different methods as well as access to many hair distributors of hair at various price points and quality to customize your look. Let’s book a consultation to discuss how we can build a complete look!
How do I prepare for a coloring appointment?
Contrary to popular belief, dirty hair isn’t ideal for coloring. Fresh hair that’s been washed within the last three days is much better to work with, so please arrive with clean hair. If it’s our first appointment and we haven’t had a consultation yet, please bring some inspiration pics and be open about your hair history, so I can create the perfect look for you.
Do you offer services for hair loss due to medical conditions?
Depending on your situation. Let’s sit and discuss—in-depth—your goals, your health, medications, and lifestyle. I can recommend hand-crafted botanical treatments, scalp therapy, and adding hair through different non-surgical methods.
What can I expect during my appointment at The Shear Underground?
Your appointment time is YOUR time to relax. If we have a long appointment, typically there are times where I am working in the deets, and you can zone-off or catch up on emails, listen to a podcast. Whether we are at The Underground or Beauty Bar, the appointment is a time where you can relax. Just tell me what you need, and from there I’ll check in throughout the service and regroup at the end.
Can I book a consultation before committing to a service?
By all means, YES. I welcome this. We’ll spend some time laying the foundation of your inspiration. This is where we set our expectations, pricing, and maintenance. All the nuts and bolts of things are laid out at this appointment, and you can decide from there.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Clean hair, inspiration images, and be ready to relax.
How do I reschedule or cancel an appointment?
I require at least 48 hours notice if you are canceling or rescheduling. If you are booked at The Underground, you can contact me via text at 719-401-1986. If you are scheduled at Beauty Bar, please contact the front desk at 719-473-8404, option 2 to speak with a concierge.
What if I do not have a referral?
No worries. I am also available to book at Beauty Bar in Downtown Colorado Springs, and you can book an appointment online or by calling the salon at 719-473-8404, However I do not accept new guests at my home suite without a referral. If you have a referral, please fill out my contact form, and I will reach out to you to schedule.
Where do I park for my appointment?
- At the Underground is a residence. Please park directly in front of the house or on the right side in the driveway.
- Beauty Bar Tejon is in downtown Colorado Springs, which has off-street metered parking. We recommend you download the Park Mobile app to pay for parking prior to your appointment. Colorado Square Parking Lot is also available across the street from the Salon, and The Kiowa Parking Garage is within walking distance.
